Cold email in the United States

Cold email to US buyers, on Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time

Four main time zones, one campaign. Give each lead their zone and Super Intelligent Sender waits for their working day.

Mailboxes with sending windows and limits

Can I send cold email to businesses in the United States?

Yes. The US CAN-SPAM Act does not require prior consent for commercial email, including business-to-business email, but every message must meet its rules: honest sender details and subject line, a valid postal address, a clear way to opt out, and opt-outs honoured within 10 business days. Super Intelligent Sender adds an unsubscribe link and one-click unsubscribe headers to every email and applies opt-outs immediately. Add your postal address to your signature.

How Super Intelligent Sender helps

Built for cold email in the United States

Their business hours

Each lead is emailed in their own working hours, coast to coast.

Unsubscribe on every email

An unsubscribe link in the footer and one-click List-Unsubscribe headers.

Opt-outs applied at once

Well inside the 10 business days CAN-SPAM allows.

Address in your signature

Save a signature per mailbox with your postal address.

Time zones. The US spans several time zones, so Super Intelligent Sender cannot guess a lead's zone from a .com domain. Add a timezone column to your CSV (for example -5 for New York or -8 for Los Angeles); leads without one use the brand's default time zone. Offsets are fixed, so update them when daylight saving time starts or ends.
The rules in brief

CAN-SPAM Act

The US Federal Trade Commission enforces CAN-SPAM. It applies to commercial email, and makes no exception for business-to-business email.

  • Use accurate From, To and Reply-To details that identify you.
  • Do not use a misleading subject line.
  • Identify the message as an advertisement where that applies.
  • Include a valid postal address.
  • Explain how to opt out, and honour opt-outs within 10 business days.
  • You stay responsible even when another company sends for you.
